Geoscience Resources Inc (GRI) provides a wide range of consulting services to clients. Although we are a small company, our breadth of experience allows us to address a variety of environmental issues and efficiently deal with specific problems. In addition, we can provide personalized service to each client.

GRI focuses on the core areas of providing high quality consulting to clients regarding natural attenuation of contaminants, evaluation of vadose zone and groundwater systems, modeling of flow and solute transport in groundwater and soil, and risk-based evaluations. Both general and specific environmental assessments are provided with high quality, defensible, and fully documented results. GRI stresses a close working relationship with clients to ensure that the end product meets the client's specific needs. The level of interaction during each project is tailored to meet that client's expressed desires. Updates are provided as frequently as the client requests.

Each project is designed to fit the particular situation at the site, taking into account the client's plans for the site, human health and environmental risks, and regulatory requirements, to bring the project to satisfactory resolution. GRI will work with state and federal regulatory agencies and other stakeholders on the client's behalf to negotiate satisfactory resolution of issues and conflicts and to encourage a rational approach.

GRI does not attempt to replace traditional project management by environmental consultants. Rather, we will work with project managers to address more complicated issues and data interpretation questions. We will gladly work with other environmental consultants to create mutually beneficial relationships that enhance the quality of service provided to our clients.

SESOIL Modeling

GRI provided expert consulting on use of the SESOIL model to resolve regulatory concerns in California. Issues were favorably resolved in about a week.

Regulation Development

GRI developed draft regulatory language to implement a risk-based corrective action (RBCA) program for the Missouri DNR based on existing guidance for petroleum USTs. GRI also developed alternative RBCA regulatory language for the Misourri PSTIF.

Natural Attenuation

GRI provided expert review and data evaluation to support a monitored natural attenuation (MNA) remedy for a landfill in Georgia involving chlorinated hydrocarbons & mercury.

Risk Assessment

GRI aided in development of a human health risk assessment for a former natural gas processing plant in Nebraska.

Karst

GRI provided expert consulting on karst issues for a petroleum contamination site on the Missouri/Arkansas border involing a major spring and fish hatchery.
